Criticized by Many Users, WhatsApp Delays Changes to Its Privacy Policy

In early January, Facebook announced a notification to WhatsApp users where they would later implement a new privacy policy which is currently causing controversy.
How not, the new privacy policy will require WhatsApp users to agree to share their data with Facebook. This is what makes many WhatsApp users decide to move to other applications.
However, it seems that WhatsApp is quite afraid to see that many people are currently moving to applications like Telegram and Signal which are said to be much safer. As a result, WhatsApp decided to postpone the implementation of this new policy for the time being.
Through its official blog, WhatsApp said that it has decided to postpone the implementation of this privacy policy and give users time to read and understand the content and intent of the new policy.
“None of the accounts will be suspended or deleted on February 8th. We want to explain and clear up misinformation regarding the new policies that WhatApp will implement. We will re-release this option on May 15th,” WhatsApp wrote.
The announcement of WhatsApp’s new privacy policy is arguably quite beneficial for online messaging services such as Telegram to Signal. It is known that currently, Telegram received 25 million new registrants in just 72 hours.

Unbelievable! Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey’s first tweet was offered US $ 2.5 million

Twitter boss Jack Dorsey auctioned off his first tweet, which was uploaded on March 22, 2006.
“just setting up my twttr,” tweeted Dorsey at the time.
The simple tweet has received auction bids of up to the US $ 2.5 million. These tweets will be sold as a non-fungible token (NFT), a kind of digital certificate that identifies the owner of virtual objects.
The buyer will then receive the NFT certificate which has been signed and verified by Dorsey. The metadata from the original tweet will also belong to the buyer.
However, these tweets can still be accessed by the public even though they have been purchased at a high price.
CNBC reported the ownership of this NFT is also recorded in the blockchain, a digital network that also supports cryptocurrencies.
The difference is, NFT assets cannot be exchanged with one another, so it becomes an item that cannot be duplicated and makes it super rare.
The highest bidder in Jack Dorsey’s tweet auction was the CEO of Bridge Oracle, Sina Estavi, who bid up to the US $ 2.5 million.
Crypto items have recently become popular as collectibles. For example, a digital rendition of a Nyan Cat meme from 2011 has sold for up to $ 601,753.18.
Even so, many netizens do not understand what is the benefit of buying that one tweet that cannot be fully owned.

Is the Clubhouse App Safe to Use?

Clubhouse voice calling application is now very widely used by people. This application, which is still present on iOS devices, is widely used thanks to Elon Musk, who popularized it on Twitter social media.
However, after being famous, many have wondered whether this Clubhouse service is safe to use or not. The following is the explanation.
Based on a report from Wired, it was stated that the application made by Paul Davison and Rohan Seth had one problem, namely that anyone could record a conversation in a room and upload it again anywhere without being noticed.

This makes a Clubhouse user upload audio data and metadata from the application to a special website. As a result, the user was blocked by Clubhouse for violating its service policy.
But that didn’t stop there, Clubhouse itself turned out to be using a back-end service from a Chinese company called Agora. So Agora can be said to have access to user conversations.
Even though there are several security threats in the Clubhouse application, his party ensures that it will continue to protect the data and privacy of its users.
“We have overcome our shortcomings by introducing changes, adding encryption, and additional blocking to prevent Clubhouse users from pinging Chinese servers,” said a Clubhouse spokesman.

Twitter is developing new features that will make you feel relaxed

It is reported that Twitter is working on a new feature that will automatically detect and block an account that is often abused by users.
The name of the feature is Safety Mode, whose job is to block accounts that display Twitter Rules (Twitter rules) and deactivate accounts that are used for insulting, abusive language, or hate.
As we quoted from the Engadget page, this feature will limit the ability of a person to tweet to users who activate the feature for seven days.
Moreover, it shows replies to fewer people. Twitter says it will send a notification to the user’s cell phone to notify you when the tool is doing its job.
