Cyberpunk 2077 Use AI to Deliver Lip-Sync Animations in 10 Languages

Less than one month before the launch of the latest game from CD Projekt Red, Cyberpunk 2077. It is known that this game will have a lot of interesting content and features that make players feel amazed by the game.

It was also stated that later this game would come with 10 different voice-over languages, but what surprised many people was that all of these languages would have their own lip-sync animation for all of the game’s characters.

For those of you who don’t know, creating a lip-sync animation for just one language takes a very long time, of course, many are wondering how CD Projekt Red can bring out lip-sync animations for 10 different languages.

The answer is to use Artificial Intelligence (AI). Yes, CD Projekt Red is known to have collaborated with Jali Research Inc to create an automated AI-based process that can later create their own lip-sync animation based on audio.

This technology will later convert the audio into animation. So when this process is applied to the Cyberpunk 2077 character model, the character will present a mouth animation that is very similar to the conversation of ordinary people in different languages.

Surely this is one of the very best innovations in the video game industry. Because until now, game studios like Sucker Punch Productions have not been able to bring a different lip-sync animation to Japanese from their newest game, Ghost of Tsushima.

Microsoft will soon reveal prices for Xbox Series X / S games

Microsoft will soon reveal prices for Xbox Series X S games

Although the world premiere of the Xbox Series X and S took place a week ago (November 10), there is still no game prepared by Xbox Game Studiosdirectly for the next generation. It is true that you can play Forza Horizon 4, which has been adapted to the capabilities of new consoles, but it is a title that originally debuted in 2018.

There are also a lot of cross-platform games, such as Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War or Watch Dogs: Legion, but their prices are not dependent on Microsoft. It all boils down to one issue – the American corporation has not yet disclosed how much new games created by its in-house studios will cost.

While in the case of Sony we know that we will pay up to $ 70 for exclusive AAA productions, Microsoft has been silent so far. This is about to change soon.

Tim Stuart, who is the chief financial officer of Xbox, in a recent interview at the Jefferies Interactive Entertainment conference revealed that Microsoft will soon disclose the prices of AAA games that are being made at Xbox Game Studios. ” I think we have yet to disclose the price of the games that are made by our in-house studios, so we will do so shortly, ” said Tim Stuart.

At the same time, Xbox’s CFO admitted that prices have not risen for several generations, so don’t expect it to stay that way. He also recalled that the production costs of AAA titles have increased significantly in recent years and everyone wants it to be a profitable business.

These words can be taken as a kind of announcement that the game is on Xbox Series X and S – as in the case of PlayStation 5 – can cost up to $ 70.

The price increase should come as no surprise to anyone. Since PlayStation 3, AAA games have cost $ 60, at least in the standard edition.

However, over these several years, the costs have increased enormously, which can be seen, among others, at the expected price of creating Cyberpunk 2077, which has a chance to become the most expensive production in history, even more, expensive than GTA V.

One can even theorize that this is one of the reasons why all kinds of ointments appeared special and even micropayments in big games were issued to look for additional sources of income. Therefore, the increase in prices, although not welcome, should nevertheless be expected for everyone.

Sony Ensures PlayStation 5 Can Play PS4 Games and Support VR

The closer the Playstation 5 will be in November, the higher the hype will be. After previously the Playstation 5 hardware was officially dissected by Sony technicians.

So on the next occasion, Sony opened the veil of other capabilities of the Playstation 5.

Through an article with questions and answers with Hideaki Nishino, Senior Vice President, Platform Planning & Management, Sony explained what facilities and capabilities Playstation 5 users can get later.

Sony collected questions that were circulating ahead of the presence of the Playstation 5. Then Hideaki answered them clearly and clearly. Including the possibility of the latest console compatibility with games released by Playstation 4.

There are many interesting things, especially regarding the Playstation 5 support for the majority of Playstation 4 games. An interesting choice from Sony in an effort to bring gamers to happily switch consoles to the latest generation.

The PlayStation 5 Can Also Play VR Games

The majority of Playstation 4 games. One of the most interesting features of the Playstation 5 is the support for games released from older generation consoles. “We focus on the Playstation 4 game catalog, and we ensure that more than 99% of the games can be played on the Playstation 5,” Hideaki said. That includes exclusive Playstation 4 games such as The Last of Us Part II and Ghost of Tsushima.

Supports Digital and Physical Games. Support for the Playstation 4 game means support for all versions of the game. Be it digital or physical ( blue-ray disc ). Games that have been and have been paid for via the Playstation Store can be played on the Playstation 5. If you have the physical version, then it can be played too. Except for the Playstation 5 version which is not equipped with a disc drive.

Experience Becomes Better. The experience of playing games on a new generation console like the Playstation 5 is certainly better. The Playstation 4 games that are played there, get increased loading and more stable frame rates. Includes additional benefits from the UX features of the Playstation 5.

VR Games Still Playable. Virtual reality-based games can also be played on the Playstation 5. All additional devices such as a VR headset, DualShock, and PS Camera are still needed. Interestingly, you need a PS Camera Adapter to run it on the Playstation 5.

Remote Play. Playing games remotely from the Playstation 4 to Playstation 5 is also supported. The advantage of playing streaming is that you don’t need to use the storage capacity on the Playstation 5. It’s just that the Game Boos feature on the Playstation 5 doesn’t apply to this mode of play.

Data Transfer Via LAN Cable. Digital games, game data, and data stored on the Playstation 4 console can be transferred to the Playstation 5 via a LAN cable, or a WiFi connection. If you have stored various data on a USB device, you can immediately pair it across consoles. Including if you are already a PlayStation Plus member, the synchronization process can also be done.

Those are some of the advantages that will be obtained from the Playstation 5 console later. Sony doesn’t just forget about the Playstation 4 gamers. Meanwhile, games from older console generations don’t seem to get the same facility.

After all, the technological leap has gone too far and will waste the optimal capabilities of the Playstation 5. And 99% of playable games can also be seen in the following list PlayStation

Xbox Series X Can Play Almost Any Xbox One X Game at 4K 60FPS

Only a few months until the launch of Microsoft’s newest console, the Xbox Series X and S. Currently, many can’t wait and want to see what the performance of Microsoft’s next-gen console will look like.

As we know, the Xbox Series X is known to have a feature called Backward Compatibility which makes the console can be used to play games from the previous generation Xbox console, the Xbox One X.

However, many are still wondering whether the Xbox One X games that run on the Xbox Series X will come with the same or different appearance. Microsoft finally answered that.

To IGN, Microsoft said that in the future almost all games on the Xbox One X can be played on the Xbox Series X. Because they use a next-gen console, these games will be able to appear in 4K resolution and frame rates of up to 60 FPS.

Even some games on Xbox One X such as Monster Hunter World, Dead or Alive 6, and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice can still run smoothly with 4K resolution, although not all of these games can get a 60 FPS frame rate lock.

But please note that the graphics quality of the Xbox One X games played on the Xbox Series X will not change. Users can only experience more detailed and smoother gameplay on the next-gen console.

As information, the Xbox Series X itself will soon be released on November 10, 2020, and will be launched together with the Xbox Series S, the digital version of the next-gen console which is sold cheaper.
