Facebook Update Messenger Logo and Appearance, Adds New Features

Facebook today introduced a new logo for the Messenger messaging app. Facebook has also updated Messenger with a number of new features and a few changes to the app’s interface, which has been adjusted according to its new logo.
Facebook explains that the new logo represents the evolution of Messenger, considering it more than just a place to send and receive messages.
In the last few months, Facebook has updated Messenger with a number of new capabilities, including improved video calling features, the ability to watch shared videos, etc.
The new Messenger logo adopts a blue to the pink gradient, inspired by Instagram. This is part of Facebook’s efforts to deliver cross-platform messaging capabilities.
Announced last September, Instagram users can now send messages to Facebook users via Messenger, and vice versa.

In addition to the new logo, Facebook has also added a number of new features specifically for customizing the appearance of the application.
Messenger now allows users to set up messaging themes, such as the Love and Tie-dye themes already available. Users can now also send customized reactions, with a wider choice of emojis.
Facebook is also introducing a number of new features that will be rolling out soon on Messenger. One of these includes selfie stickers, allowing users to use selfies as stickers.
Messenger will also be equipped with a Vanish Mode feature that can delete messages after viewing or after the user leaves the chat.
Facebook did not specify whether the update will be rolled out as soon as this announcement is made, or will be rolled out by region or by a specific group of users.
Even so, this update is expected to arrive in at least the next few days.
