Oppo's Smartwatch Will Come With ECG Feature Like Apple Watch

A new feature about Oppo Smartwatch, which the Oppo company announced in the first quarter of 2020 in the past months, has emerged. The watch, which has been said to be superior to other smartwatch models in the market in terms of many features, will come with the ECG feature.

The company’s new smartwatch, Oppo Smartwatch, will have a rectangular dial like the Xiaomi Mi Watch. According to the information given by the company’s manager, a rectangular dial helps to display much more information than a circular dial.

Based on info disclosed on the social networking website Weibo, Oppo Smartwatch will measure ECG. This feature seems to be of interest as one of the most advanced features of smartwatches that focus on monitoring health status.

It is known that some smartwatches with ECG features are already on the market, which are Apple Watch Series 5, Samsung Galaxy Active 2, Withings Move ECG and Amazfit Verge. That’s why Oppo is believed to add more features to the device to stir up the competition.

Xiaomi launches the Mi Speaker, a smart speaker with Google assistant

Xiaomi launches the Mi Speaker, a smart speaker with Google assistant

From Xiaomi, we had already known many smart speakers, of all possible sizes and formats, but they all had the same problem, they had Xiaomi’s XiaoAI voice assistant, completely useless for us because we had the voice assistant in the Chinese language.

But today we have met a new speaker that has arrived in India with the Google assistant, which maximizes the chances that it will arrive in Spain in the near future since in this way it would be equated with so many other speakers with this assistant in our country.

Features of the Xiaomi Mi Speaker

We are facing a speaker that reminds us of a lot of the classic Amazon Echo, with a cylindrical shape and the notification LED in a ring at the top, it is practically a visual clone. It offers everything we can expect from one of these speakers, albeit with Xiaomi’s unmistakable stamp.

It has a powerful 12W speaker, with 63.5mm drivers, so it is undoubtedly a speaker that is characterized by a high-quality sound compared to its competitors. In addition, its Texas Instruments processor is capable of offering high fidelity sound in combination with the sound algorithms used.

It has DTS sound, something like the HDR of sound, optimizing the audio with a richer, more defined sound with clear voices and strong bass without distortion.

Undoubtedly what interests us most, in this case, is that despite being a Xiaomi speaker, it offers us the Google assistant, which allows it to be compatible with thousands of Internet of Things devices with which we can control the smart home using voice commands.

When we say that it looks like a clone of the classic Echo is that it is so, because we also have several buttons at the top to be able to raise and lower the volume, as well as stop and resume playback, or mute the microphone.

At the moment, the version that has been put on sale in India is available in Hindi or English. Of course, it has Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, to be able to be connected to the Internet and receive commands both live voice and through the app hundreds or thousands of kilometers away.

An interesting function of these speakers is that we can use them together in two units to improve the stereo sound of our Xiaomi TV. And they also have Chromecast integrated to be able to send our favorite content through them, such as Atresplayer for example.

A speaker that at least in India comes at a very competitive price if we compare it with that of its competitors, about 40 euros to change. This is practically half the price of a standard Amazon Echo or Google Home, which is usually around 90 or 100 euros.

Latest WatchOS 7 causes Apple Watch Series 3 to restart by itself

Apple recently rolled out the latest operating system for its smartwatch which comes with the name WatchOS 7. It is known that WatchOS 7 comes with a number of updates ranging from adding features and also improving security.

But recently, many Apple Watch Series 3 users have complained that after they updated to WatchOS 7, their smartwatch suddenly restarts itself. This also certainly annoys the users of the Apple Watch Series 3.

Based on information quoted from the MacRumors website , many users have had problems ranging from the smartwatch restarting itself, the application not opening properly, to the decrease in the performance of the smartwatch from before.

“My Apple Watch Series 3 continues to restart after upgrading to WatchOS 7. Previously, the smartwatch was running well and stable. I have done a reset but the problem does not go away, it happens about 2-3 times per day and is random,” wrote one person. user named MrMapple.

Not long after the problem was complained by many users, Apple also released the WatchOS 7.0.1 update, but it seems that the update still can’t solve the problem. Until now, there are still many users who experience this problem.

However, this does not mean that all Apple Watch Series 3 users are affected by this problem. There are still a number of other users who do not get anything complained about by most Apple Watch Series 3 users on the internet.

Therefore, we can only hope that Apple can solve this problem quickly because many users are annoyed. This also makes many other Apple Watch Series 3 users reluctant to upgrade to WatchOS 7.

Samsung presents its new ultra-resistant tablet, the Galaxy Tab Active 3

The market for ultra-resistant devices is not very large, but it has remained unchanged in recent years, with a handful of manufacturers that continue to offer this type of device designed for extreme use, both in the field of leisure and sports as well as professional.

This is the case of Samsung, which has both ultra-resistant mobiles and tablets, a great example of this is the new Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3, which has been designed to enjoy the best functionalities in really hostile environments.

Features of the new Samsung Galaxy Tan Active 3

Logically, a tablet with these characteristics must meet a series of specifications so that it can be used in environments that are not normally suitable for devices of this type.

We are talking of course about its resistance to falls and the elements. For this, it has a thick body, and with absorbent materials to cope with shocks, thanks to the MIL-STD-810H military grade certification.

It also has IP68 certification, which makes it resistant to water and dust, in fact, it can be submerged up to a meter and a half for an hour and a half in water.

Otherwise, we have a tablet with a size of eight inches, a screen that has a WUXGA resolution, greater than Full HD, with 1920×1200 pixels and that is LCD. The processor it has is an Exynos 9810 with eight cores, which offers sufficient performance for any daily and professional task.

It comes with two memory variants, one with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, and another with the same RAM and 128GB of internal storage expandable via microSD cards up to 1TB.

A tablet that has a 13-megapixel rear camera, while the front is 5-megapixel. A tablet that on the other hand offers a 5050mAh battery, which for the screen size that we are talking about and not having LTE connectivity is more than enough for the whole day.

It also has a fingerprint reader, facial recognition, GPS + Glonass + Beidou + Galileo connectivity, USB 3.1 connectivity, Wifi 6, as well as Samsung Knox, to use the tablet as a desktop computer, which substantially improves the professional experience with this tablet.

The software it has is Android 10, the latest version of the system, being therefore one of the most modern tablets in this sense. The tablet will be available from today in many countries, also European like Spain.

Hopefully, there will be a new version of the tablet later that will feature LTE mobile connectivity. A tablet that joins the Pro models, completing one of the most powerful ranges of rugged tablets on the market today.

A perfect tablet to take us with our adventures in extreme nature, or in the most demanding professional environments, such as those that must be constantly exposed to dust or water, such as in civil works and key facilities and infrastructures.
