At the end of last year, the Redmi K30 were presented, being two exciting options in the mid-range (4G and 5G) that we saw brought to the Indian market in the form of POCO X2, in its 4G version. What is now looming is the Redmi K30 Pro, the older brother of this mobile of which some detail is already known.

The brand has been confirming quite a few features, so we can get a good idea of what we will see. This time it is the most powerful and advanced version of what will be the Redmi K30 family, which we hope will arrive in Europe in the form of perhaps a Xiaomi Mi 10T as it happened with the Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro and the Redmi K20 Pro.

Betting on a record shine and refreshment

For now, we are talking about a launch for the Chinese market that we will see next March 24 if there are no last-minute changes. But the brand has been releasing tracks on its Weibo account, and can already see aspects of both the aesthetics and the components.

The back will be glass, with curvature at the edges and with a noticeable circular module reminiscent of the Nokia 8.3 5G and other proposals that do not follow the trend of vertical side mounting. As we saw in the Mi 9T last year, this K30 Pro would also incorporate the front camera with a pop-up mechanism.

From the screen, they have given clues but not the diagonal. Redmi has revealed that it is an AMOLED screen with a maximum brightness of 1,200 nits, even more than that LG G7 ThinQ with that super brightness mode (up to 1,000 nits), compatible with HDR10 + and with a refresh rate of 180 Hz, which would be a record on mobile.

On the front we see a reasonably clear panel at least in its upper half that probably includes the fingerprint reader, not seeing it in any other area. A curious detail is that the lighting of the front camera module can be customized by choosing between at least five shades and that the 3.5 mm jack is on the top.

UFS 3.1, new linear motor and double optical stabilization

The last name “Pro” implies in this case carrying the latest Qualcomm processor for the high-end: the Snapdragon 865, also having support for 5G (we do not know if there will be a single variant or two depending on this). The heat emitted by their work and that of other components will try to dissipate with a steam chamber system that they also mention, and although they have not given detailed data on RAM and ROM, we know that it will be LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.

Focused on meeting the needs of gamers, the software will include the Game Turbo 3.0 game enhancer. And another confirmed addition is that the Redmi K30 Pro consists of a linear vibration motor, which has been optimized to transfer a better haptic response to the user.

Speaking of cameras, what they have revealed for now is that the primary camera has a 64-megapixel sensor and that there is a telephoto lens with 3x zoom in principle optical. Also, they speak of dual optical stabilization, and in total there are four cameras in this circular module at the rear. From the front, they have not given more clues beyond the mechanism.

As we said, the appointment, for now, remains for next March 24. In the absence of aspects such as memories, diagonal and connectivity, among others, it seems a powerful and attractive mobile, which perhaps can compete about quality-price precedents in the Chinese brand.
