Towards the end of 2020, the South Korean electronics manufacturer, Samsung, has released two of its flagship series. Galaxy S20 series at the beginning of the year, while the Galaxy Note20 series has launched some time ago in Indonesia. That means it’s time for the flagship rumors that Samsung will release next year, starting to circulate.
The name itself is still speculative, whether Samsung will call it the Galaxy S30 or Galaxy S21. However, some people who can be considered as specialists in leaking the latest smartphone information seem to be more inclined to mention the Galaxy S21 series. The first rendered photos of the two variants of Samsung’s flagship in 2021 have also appeared on the internet.
The uploader of this rendering photo is @onleaks, has a pretty good track record over the past few months. He also uploaded a render of the Huawei Mate 40 some time ago, which differed only slightly from the original press photo uploaded by Roland Quandt from WinFuture. Then what about the design of the Galaxy S21 series?
Galaxy S21 & S21 Ultra display
Several photos have been uploaded by him, showing the front, side, and back views of the Samsung Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21 Ultra as the best variants. In addition to the rendered photos, @onleaks also confirmed that the two of them will be here first in January 2021. Whether or not they are, we are looking forward to it.
From the uploaded photos and videos, it can be seen that the front view is still similar to the previous generation. The difference is in the left and right corner, where the Galaxy S21 uses a flat panel like the Galaxy S20 FE, while the Galaxy S21 Ultra still comes with a curved glass corner. Each of these has a 6.2 screen and an estimated 6.7 – 6.9 inches for the Ultra variant.
While the rear camera design is made different. If previously used a square frame, this time the module is made up of the ends of the left and top corners.
Equally protruding slightly, this time the flash is located on the outside of the camera module. The Galaxy S21 has a vertically aligned triple camera setup, while the Galaxy S21 Ultra has one additional sensor.
Galaxy S21 Ultra Comes Slightly Thicker
Also informed about the size of each of the latest Samsung flagship series. The Galaxy S21 has dimensions of 151.7 x 71.2 x 7.9mm (without the camera bump), while the Galaxy S21 Ultra is certainly bigger at 165.1 x 75.6 x 8.9mm (with a 2mm camera bump).
Compared to the Galaxy S20 Ultra, the thickness is only 0.1mm up. And from the four sides, rumors can be denied that the S-Pen stylus will be present in the Galaxy S series variant.
In addition, it is also rumored that Samsung is preparing several Exynos processors in the future, one of which will carry a GPU from AMD. Quoted from SamMobile & Ice Universe, the Exynos 2100 chipset is prepared which is claimed to have no power efficiency issues like its predecessor series. Not only that, there are still Exynos 9855 and Exynos 9925, each of which is set to debut in 2022 – 2023.
Samsung Confirms It Will Remove Ads on Its Smartphones
Almost all smartphones that exist today come with a number of advertisements in them. Although this is mostly found in smartphones made in China such as Xiaomi, it turns out that Samsung is also still presenting advertisements on its smartphones.
But recently Samsung has confirmed that it has decided to remove ads that appear from default applications such as Galaxy Themes, Samsung Weather, to Samsung Pay.
Based on information from Gizmochina, currently many Samsung smartphone users are complaining about the presence of advertisements in some Samsung applications. Even Samsung employees were annoyed to see the advert when it appeared on their own smartphones.
Officials at Samsung also said that they really appreciate the criticism given by users and even their own employees with the aim of developing the company. Therefore, the ad will also be removed through the One UI update that will be carried out next.
Samsung is also currently looking for ways to present opportunities in creating content and advertising services so that they can display ads that are useful to users.

OPPO Officially Announces Second Generation of Under-Display Selfie Camera Technology
OPPO has just announced the latest iteration of its under-screen camera technology, this technology is claimed to be able to provide selfie capabilities that make the camera placed under the screen without any notch or punch hole at all.
Actually, OPPO has previously exhibited this technology some time ago and even now ZTE has also brought similar technology in its smartphones.
But based on the information provided by OPPO, it is stated that this new under-screen camera technology will not provide a visual display at all. This means that users will not know if there is a camera behind the smartphone screen.
“The company has shown an image of a smartphone prototype that is running an e-reader application. It can be seen that text can still appear with sharp resolution on a white background,” OPPO said quoted from The Verge.
OPPO also shows off the quality of photos taken through the camera technology under the screen and the results are quite good even though they can’t be equivalent to the camera lens of a smartphone that uses a notch or punch-hole screen.
Unfortunately, unlike ZTE, which immediately applies this new technology to its smartphones, OPPO has not yet confirmed when the technology will be introduced on their smartphones. We’ll just have to wait!
