Researchers at the Max Planck Institute in Mainz have developed and tested wafer-thin, ferroelectric nylon that is ideal for use with portable electronics. This could replace metal as the most used material for the production of portable electronics.

Nylon Instead Of Metal In The Production Of Portable Electronics

Portable and flexible electrical appliances are increasingly on the rise. Precisely because the portable electronics are still very error-prone and can be improved, new solutions are continually being researched. Currently, mostly metal is used for the production of the electrodes. However, other materials would be suitable, such as nylon. Nylon is particularly ideal because it is very flexible and stretchable, unlike the ceramic-based materials. Certain nylons have ferroelectric properties which are suitable for the production of sensors, storage, etc. are necessary. Another benefit of the nylon is that it can be processed more cost-effectively than most other materials.

Nylon-11 100 Times Thinner Than Human Hair

The large, more than the existing 40 years problem was that it failed to researchers, the so-called Nylon-11 light enough to manufacture. Boston Dynamics itself says that parkour is one of the most perfect ways to experiment with Atlas and in the video, it can be seen that this robot can maintain its own body balance when doing activities that are quite difficult.

In addition, the size of SpaceX’s Starship rocket is said to be too inconvenient, so astronauts will have to descend to the surface of the Moon in an elevator. While Blue Origin has a shorter rocket so astronauts can descend by using stairs only.

But after all, SpaceX already has a lot more experience in outer space. Because they have also worked with NASA to take astronauts to the ISS twice and everything was run successfully without any problems.
