Starting September 30th, Google Meet Limits Meeting Time to 1 Hour for Free Users

In April 2020, Google has provided access to the Google Meet conference service for free for all Google account users. Even Google also does not provide a time limit at all for free users.

However, recently there is information where Google has decided that starting September 30, 2020, Google will change the policy of Google Meet which affects free users.

It is stated that after September 30, free Google Meet users are only given 60 minutes to conduct a meeting.

Even so, Google to The Verge confirmed that until now it was still not sure whether the rules would be enforced or not. Google will also provide information if there are changes that occur later.

If these rules apply, of course, Google Meet users will inevitably have to subscribe to the G Suite service, which is Google’s paid service that provides more features for Google services, one of which is Google Meet.

Initially, Google itself made it’s Google Meet service free in order to compete with Zoom which has been very popular since the coronavirus (COVID-19) was present. Indeed, this free of charge is the best step that can be taken by Google.

However, it seems that Google has realized that at this time this step is actually making users lazy to subscribe to G Suite again because, without G Suite, Google Meet services can be used without any restrictions at all.

Google Assistant Can Now Tie Your Shoelaces If Your Shoes Are Nike Adapt

Google today announced some of the changes brought to the Google Assistant. This change provides support for users to be able to control applications on their smartphones using voice commands.

So what are the benefits of the update to the Google Assistant? Recently the 9to5Google site uploaded a video showing one of the uses for the Google Assistant which can control Android applications.

In the 20-second video uploaded to YouTube, it appears that a man is wearing Nike Adapt shoes. Then the man opened Google Assistant and ordered the Nike Adapt application to tie the two shoes he was wearing until 100%.

As a result, Google Assistant immediately opened the Nike Adapt application and carried out the command as mentioned by the man, namely tying his two shoes up to 100%. Of course, this makes the man not need to use his hands to press a button to tie his shoes.

Not only can you tie the shoe, it is known that users can also check the battery of the Nike Adapt shoe and instruct the Google Assistant to change the color of the shoe is just a voice command.

Of course, this is still one use for updating the Google Assistant. Users can still find ways to take advantage of the Google Assistant to instruct applications to do things that can make it easier for users.
