The Next Apple Watch Could integrate an Original Touch ID

It is not the first time we have heard about the possibility that the Apple Watch will end up integrating a Touch ID, such as the one used by the iPhone, to improve the security and identification of users when they are using the Apple Watch. Now, this possibility is taking shape with a new patent from the Californian manufacturer. In it, we can see what would be one of the most exciting security mechanisms of the next Apple Watch. A system that would end one of the main hallmarks of the watch.
A Touch ID with a different look
The Touch ID on Apple phones has been present until iPhone 8, and iPhone 9 could recover it in the coming months. This has always been housed in a large round button on the bottom of the phone, which in turn worked as a Home button. Now Apple, through a patent, has shown what could be the adaptation of its Touch ID to the Apple Watch, the most popular wearable on the planet. This, as you know, has always been characterized by the classic crown on its right side. With this, it is possible to select different aspects of the phone.
But from what we have seen in the patent, this crown could have the days counted if we consider what appears in this patent. At least with its utility and current digital technology. Since, as the United States Patent and Trademark Office shows today, this crown could become an optical device capable of reading the user’s fingerprint in the future. Also, in the patent, you can see how the operation of this finger recognition technology would be, with a different methodology to what we are used to. For example, you will not try to rest your finger so that the watch scans the fingerprint.
But with the fingertip, we will have to turn the wheel until it recognizes our mark. Logically this would be a plausible solution since, due to the dimensions of the Apple Watch, it is not possible to place a fingerprint sensor of the usual size on the screen or elsewhere in the watch. In this way, it would be integrated without altering the design of the watch and adding a security layer that currently has no smartwatch on the market. On other occasions, the possibility of Apple opting for a fingerprint reader under the clock screen had been considered. But it is something unlikely since Apple is not opting for this type of mechanism even on its iPhone, while it has already been extended to dozens of Android phones.
Logically we are only before a patent, which means that we could still have to wait for two generations to see something similar, we would be amazed to see this year an Apple Watch that already integrates this feature. In any case, it seems something that could become a reality by not being something crazy at all.

Apple Exhibits New Product Tracker for $29 Coin-Sized Item Tracker

Apple has just shown off its newest product line, the name AirTag. This is a coin-sized item tracker that Apple plans to sell for $ 29 in India.
Apple made this AirTag announcement at today’s Spring Loaded 2021 event, amid other announcements regarding Apple TV and the new iPhone 12 color variant.
The Apple AirTag is more of an accessory than a complete product, for someone who wants to have more than just an iPhone or MacBook in the Apple ecosystem.
AirTag lets you track items in Apple’s “Find My” app on iOS. Apple AirTags’ goal is to keep track of everyday items such as keys, wallets, or backpacks, and notify you whenever you are separated from them.
Reporting from The Verge, Wednesday (21/4/2021), the new Apple AirTag itself has an internal speaker, accelerometer, Bluetooth LE, and a user-replaceable battery.
Apple says trackers should last one year of battery life, and you can use an NFC tap to activate lost mode for items you want to track.
According to Apple, each AirTag is equipped with an Apple-designed U1 chip using Ultra-Wideband technology, enabling Precision Search for iPhone 11 and iPhone 12 users.
This allows the user to more accurately determine the distance and direction to the AirTag that is lost while it is in range. As the user moves, Precision Search combines input from the camera, ARKit, accelerometer, and gyroscope and then guides them to AirTag using a combination of sound, haptic, and visual feedback.
