Microsoft officially announced the presence of Windows 11 some time ago. Comes with changes in the visual section and the addition of a number of new features, but what Microsoft has not announced at this time is when the Windows 11 update will be rolled out.
It is known that Microsoft only provided information if Windows 11 would be present in the holiday season this year but did not provide an exact date.
However, based on information obtained from screenshots shown by Microsoft at its presentation event, it is predicted that the Windows 11 OS will launch in October.
The reason is that through one of the screenshots of the Windows 11 operating system shown by the Head of Windows and Devices, Panos Panay, there is a message notification from Stevie Bathiche who says he can’t wait for October.
“Good luck today Panos! So excited to turn it into 11. Can’t wait for October!” write the message.
In addition, the screenshot of Windows 11 exhibited by Microsoft on its official website, is shown on October 20 in the taskbar which further strengthens the prediction that Windows 11 will be released on October 20, 2021.
But because it’s still a prediction, we certainly can’t believe it 100%. That’s why it’s better for us to wait for official information from Microsoft about the launch of Windows 11.
2 Ways to Change icon Size on the Windows 11 Taskbar
There are two ways to change the icon size on the Windows 11 taskbar through the Registry Editor. Users can reduce or enlarge the size of the icon on the taskbar as desired.
Windows 11 comes with a taskbar that contains several icons. The number of icons on the taskbar will continue to grow as more software is run.
Each icon comes with a uniform size. The distance between the icons is also the same. Thanks to the uniform spacing and size of icons, the taskbar can still look neat at all times even if you run a lot of software.
Actually, the size of the icon on the taskbar in Windows 11 has been carefully regulated by Microsoft so that it is clearly visible to all users.
However, maybe you want the icon size to be larger or smaller. Fortunately, changing the size of the icons on the Windows 11 taskbar is easy, although you should take the time to do it through the Registry Editor.
How to Change the Icon Size on the Windows 11 Taskbar by Editing the Registry
1. Open the Registry Editor window. To do this, press the Windows logo key and the letter R key simultaneously to bring up the Run dialog box, type Regedit , then click OK.
2. If the User Account Control (UAC) window appears, click the Yes button.
3. In the Registry Editor window, copy and paste the following text into the address bar:
4. After the text is pasted, immediately press the Enter key on your keyboard to open the Advanced folder in the Registry Editor.
5. Right-click on the Advanced folder as shown by the arrow in the image below, then click New > DWORD (32-bit) Value.
6. Change the name to TaskbarSi.
7. Double-click on the taskbar, then fill in the Value data column with one of the following numbers:
- Fill with the number 0 to display the smallest taskbar icon.
- Fill in the number 1 to display a medium-sized taskbar icon.
- Fill in the number 2 to display the taskbar icon with the largest size.
8. Launch Task Manager, locate and right-click on Windows Explorer, then click Restart. The taskbar will disappear for a while before then reappearing with the icon size that has changed.
How to Change the Icon Size on the Windows 11 Taskbar Using Registry Files
This method is basically the same as above, but more practical because you don’t need to enter the Registry Editor to edit it manually. Simply by clicking on the file that we have provided.
- Download the registry file from this link
- Run File Explorer, open the Downloads folder, locate and right-click on the zip file named EditRegistry, then click Extract All.
- Click Extract.
- Open the EditRegistry folder, then double-click on the small icon taskbar, or icontaskbarmedium , or large icon taskbar according to the size of the icon you want.
- Launch Task Manager, locate and right-click on Windows Explorer, then click Restart. After that, the size of the icon on the taskbar will change according to the file you selected in the previous step.
By changing the size of the icon on the taskbar to the smallest size, the taskbar can accommodate more icons. But most users probably won’t need it because Windows 11 relies on the icon grouping feature to tidy up icons.
This feature groups all the same icons into one icon to minimize the number of icons on the taskbar.
If you do not like the appearance of the icon after the size is changed, you can change the size of the icon on the Windows 11 taskbar as before by deleting TaskbarSi in the Registry Editor window, then restarting Windows Explorer via Task Manager, or restarting the computer, or Signing out and logging in again.
That’s a review of how to change the icon size on the Windows 11 taskbar. Hopefully this helps.
How To Enter Safe Mode In Windows 11/10 With One Click
How To Enter Safe Mode In Windows 11/10
We previously knew How to Enter Safe Mode in Windows 11 with several different methods and steps, and of course, all of them are very easy for you to implement, even in Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10 though.
Well, apart from the steps mentioned in the previous article, there is an application called Safe Mode Launcher which functions so that we can more easily enter Safe Mode with just one click. So how do you do that? The following We summarize the short steps.
Step 1. First, you can download Safe Mode Launcher from the official page on the following site.
Step 2. Next, you can extract the file that you downloaded earlier.
As in the picture above, in the file that we downloaded earlier, there are several files available, which include SafeMode.exe (for the 32-bit version) and SafeMode_x64 (for the 64-bit application).
Step 3. Next, please open the SafeMode application which is available in the folder that you extracted just now, adjust it to the version / architecture of Windows that you are using.
Step 4. Next, you can choose which Safe Mode you will enter, starting from the usual Safe Mode, Safe Mode with Networking, Safe Mode with Command Prompt Only. When you have finished selecting, please click Apply Options.
Step 5. Then you can restart your device then you will enter Safe Mode according to the one you selected before.
Regarding this step, it’s actually a much simpler step than the method from Microsoft Configurations / MSConfig, because instead of opening MSConfig and doing the configuration there, we only need to use this application to change the boot settings.
In addition, what is interesting about this application is in the Menu section, there are a number of other features and capabilities that you can see in the following image:
There is a Boot Once in Safe Mode option, there are Recovery Settings, Activating a Hidden Admin Account and so on, including running the Bcdedit command with just one click.
Well, please try guys, maybe this application will be useful for you to use. If there are other applications that you might recommend, don’t hesitate to let us know in the comments column below.
