The United Arab Emirates Preparing Its First Mission To Mars

Mars is in the sights of Earth. In addition to the USA (with Mars 2020 ) and China (with Tianwen 1 ), another country this year will launch a mission towards the red planet: the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

If all goes well, in February next year the United Arab Emirates will be the fifth nation to successfully orbit Mars, in time for the celebration of the country’s 50th anniversary in December 2021.

According to Omran Sharaf, leader of the Hope mission, the goal is not simply to reach Mars. “It is part of something bigger: accelerating the development of our educational and academic sector” and generating knowledge that can be useful for the country in a future “post-oil” economy, from which most of its revenue currently comes from.

The mission aims to study the atmosphere of Mars, generating a map of its climate system over a Martian year, equivalent to 1.8 terrestrial years. Like Earth, Mars has seasons that influence winds, temperature, condensation and evaporation of ice, etc.

Most of the data we have comes from “one-off” observations, obtained from the equipment on the planet’s surface, which makes it difficult to construct a global climate panorama. To carry out its mission, Hope has three instruments mounted on an “arm”, capable of carrying out multiple measurements simultaneously: a camera sensitive to visible and ultraviolet light and spectrometers sensitive to infrared and ultraviolet light.

Its orbit around Mars lasts 55 hours and was calculated to offer two “points of view”: one where the planet rotates under the spacecraft, and the other where it tracks its speed of rotation, which allows it to observe a point static on the surface.

“This science was the sweet spot for us. We are complementary to other contemporary missions, so we maximize the global benefit that scientists will derive from our mission, which fuels other current areas of research and expands human knowledge as a whole, ”said the officials.

Hope’s launch is scheduled for July 14 this year. The mission will take off from the Tanegashima Space Center in Japan on an H-2A rocket built by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries.

NASA's Perseverance Rover is now actively looking for signs of life on Mars

After successfully landing on Mars some time ago, now NASA’s Perseverance rover is ready to look for signs of ancient microbial life on the red planet.

Previously this rover had explored a number of areas on Mars and collected rocks from the planet. But now the rover will be even more active to search for information on the planet.

Currently, the rover has 43 sample tubes which will later be filled with rock fragments and Martian dust to be sent back to Earth for further investigation. The process was carried out at four locations including Jezero.

Well, after that, Perseverance will then make a long journey to the north, an ancient river that is said to have been one of the sources of life on the planet Mars.

Scientists hope that at this location, the Perseverance rover can find minerals that can later be used to preserve fossils of ancient life after biological processes.

NASA and JPL are now also quite often providing updates regarding their rover while on Mars. Some time ago his party also uploaded a view of the surface of the planet Mars in 360-degree mode on its official YouTube account.

Scientists Say Humans Can Actually Live Longest Up To 150 Years

How long can humans actually live? Of course that is one of the interesting questions that we cannot answer for sure until now.

The reason is why don’t we research about how long humans can live like some species of turtles that can live up to 100 years or dogs that can live between 10-13 years.

For now, the oldest human in history is a woman named Jeanne Calment who has lived to 122 years and 164 days.

Quoted from Ubergizmo, recently a number of researchers named Timothy V. Pyrkov, Konstantin Avchaciov, Andrei E. Tarkhov, Leonid I. Menshikov, Andrei V. Gudkov, and Peter O have conducted a study to find out what the maximum age of humans is.

And it turns out from the study, it is stated that humans have the longest lifespan of up to 150 years. The reason is more than that, the human body will not be able to survive disease and injury at all so it is very difficult to survive.

However, to make humans able to survive up to 150 years, of course, is very difficult because now there are many factors that can ‘shorten’ human life starting from the environment, food, and others.

The researchers still believe that by doing therapy, they can extend human life or at least make the body still able to ward off disease and stay healthy for more than 150 years. What do you guys think?

This hypersonic aircraft can fly more than 14,000 km hour, to the end of the earth in just 1 hour

An aviation startup is working to make hypersonic aviation a reality by allowing people to travel around the world from one place to another in just one hour.

Quoted by Bloomberg, Monday (31/05/2021), Venus Aerospace Corp. said that the spacecraft hipersoniknya will be able to carry passengers from Los Angeles to Tokyo in about an hour – low who otherwise take 11 to 13 hours.

The company is the brainchild of former Virgin Orbit LLC employee Sarah Duggleby (code-writing launch engineer) and her husband Andrew Duggleby (launch, payload and propulsion operations).

This hypersonic aircraft can fly more than 14,000 km hour, to the end of the earth in just 1 hour

The idea came after the couple missed Sarah’s grandmother’s 95th birthday due to the long duration. Although we have never heard of supersonic jets – jets that travel faster than the speed of sound. Now, Venus Aerospace is developing a hypersonic jet, which is much faster than a supersonic.

Venus has planned a space path as fast as 9,000 miles per hour or about 14,484 kilometers per hour. This is almost 12 times faster than the speed of sound (a maximum of 1234 km/hr).

Venus currently has 15 employees and most of them are veterans of the space industry. They have received investments from venture capital firms such as Prime Movers and Draper Associates.
