MyHeritage, a viral application that can make your old photos come alive

Recently internet users have been excited by an application called MyHeritage which is said to have a feature to make old photos of someone moving using deep fake technology.

Actually, MyHeritage itself has many other features, considering that this is an application that functions to find out the family tree and history related to the users’ grandparents.

But many are more amazed by the deep fake feature that is presented in the application. This is not surprising because currently, access to deep fake software itself is still quite difficult.

A number of users also take advantage of the features in MyHeritage to make old photos of someone move, for example, the woman in the painting Monalisa to Richard III who is the King of England.

But there are also those who take advantage of this deep fake feature to look back at loved ones who died so that they can treat their homesickness by looking at these moving photos.

“I thank the creator of this application because I can see and feel my son who died 5 months ago,” wrote a user named M Tijen Virgo.

However, due to a large number of users trying to join the application, it seems that MyHeritage’s own servers are quite difficult to access, so sometimes many users fail to log in.

Google is preparing one of the most requested features of Chrome OS

Currently, Chromebooks don’t have an easy method to easily organize your apps in the launcher. If you want to arrange items in the app launcher, you’ll need to do tons of manual dragging to achieve your desired order, but that’s about to change.

A new confirmation in Chromium Gerrit suggests that Google is working on a new way to sort its apps and web apps alphabetically, as detected by Chrome Unboxed. The next deployment will sort your apps by name or in reverse order.

Also, the app launcher will display all the folders in the front and center of the app drawer once you turn on the alphabetical sort option, leaving all other items below them. All the applications in the folder will also follow suit.

VPN Deals: $ 16 Lifetime License, $ 1 Monthly Plans, and More

The upcoming feature also seems poised to fix Chrome OS’s perennial issue with item syncing in the launcher across all your devices. Based on the confirmation, the system will sync apps to “other paired devices” when you turn on alphabetical sorting.

Finally, the experimental ordering will work to incur “the least change in synchronization elements.” This means that the algorithm will only change the ordinal of a specific application that is not in the proper alphabetical position while keeping the other elements that are already in their correct order.

For now, it’s unclear when Google will roll out app alphabetical rankings on the best Chromebooks. That said, it’s good to see the company working on one of the Chromebook’s most requested features.

If you are installing these 8 apps on your phone, delete them immediately

What is Joker malware?

Joker is a rather dangerous piece of malware that secretly infiltrates phones through infected apps. Then stealthily collect SMS messages, contacts, device information … and automatically register for paid services without the consent of the user.

In January 2020, Google published a blog post stating that Joker is one of the most advanced and enduring threats they have had to deal with in the past few years. Since 2017, Google’s security team has removed more than 1,700 applications containing the Joker malware from Google Play.

After receiving the Quick Heal Security Labs report, Google immediately removed the malware-infected apps from Google Play. Even so, these apps still exist on your phone if you’ve installed them before. Therefore, users should remove the following applications immediately to avoid losing data and losing money unjustly.

List of 8 apps infected with Joker malware:

  • Auxiliary Message
  • Fast Magic SMS
  • Free CamScanner
  • Super Messages
  • Element Scanner
  • Go messages
  • Travel Wallpapers
  • Super SMS

When detecting that your phone contains one of the above applications, press im on the application icon and select Uninstall to uninstall.

  • Signs that your smartphone has been infected with Joker malware

The first sign is that the phone is unusually slow, the screen appears strange applications, the number of mobile data spikes, the battery drains …

Once the Joker malware successfully enters your phone, they will steal your personal information, money, and especially your identity.

To be on the safe side, users should only install apps on Google Play, although not all of the apps above are 100% safe.

A few days ago, Tim Cook (Apple CEO) stated that “Android has 47 times more malware than iOS”. While this information is still unclear, Cook is right in that Android is both less private and less secure than iOS. “We designed iOS in such a way that there is only one App Store, all apps are reviewed before going public. As a result, a lot of malware isn’t in our ecosystem.”

Cook’s point is that you can’t install apps for iPhone from third-party app stores the same way you can on Android.
