The Switch console has been the most significant success of Nintendo in recent times, and the company is not willing to be sold out. Now, the Japanese multinational has presented the Nintendo Switch Lite, an exclusively portable console that will arrive on September 20.

Unlike the Switch released in 2017. The new console that has been presented today Nintendo is designed only to play outside the home and is that the Switch Lite can not connect to the TV. In return, consumers will save around $ 100, since it will sell for $ 199.

The Switch Lite weighs 297 grams, almost 100 grams less than the original with the controls, and is noticeably smaller: 91.1x208x13.9 mm, compared to the 102x239x13.9 mm of the flagship console.

To achieve this reduction in size mounted a screen of smaller size (5.5 inches compared to 6.2 of the original), but maintains the technology and resolution. It also maintains autonomy, which promises 6 hours of use.

The direction buttons have been replaced by a controlled cross and mark distances from the Joy-Con that are more advanced. Nintendo has explained that with the new console you can play all the games of the original Nintendo Switch provided. They are compatible with portable mode, both for those who want to play online or locally in multiplayer with other users who have a Switch console.
