The first version of the Windows 11 Preview Build is available, and many people are interested in trying it. But with all the changes that the new operating system brings, it’s natural for some to be disappointed that what’s in Windows 11 doesn’t live up to expectations, and some want to go back to Windows 10. This includes confusing minimal requirements. and not many CPUs support Windows 11.
So for users who have tried to install Windows 11 but do not meet the minimum requirements, and still force it, maybe all the features offered cannot be obtained optimally. Not to mention, this Preview Build version of Windows 11 is in a form that is still far from perfect, even some of its features and functions may not work or experience errors.
To return to using Windows 10, see the following steps.
If you’ve joined the Windows Insider program and installed Windows 11, you can still go back to Windows 10. For this to work, you’ll need to change it no later than the first 10 days, and make sure you haven’t deleted any old Windows files. The file is saved as a temporary file in Windows storage settings, so don’t touch it unless you really want to keep using Windows 11.
- Open the Settings app page and select the System. section
- Swipe down and find the Recovery option and open it
- Later will appear the option “return to the previous version of Windows,” and click the button
- When the process is complete, the system will return to the previous Windows 10 10
This may not be the best option if you want to use the stable release version. If you’re already in the Windows Insider program, you’ll get the next build of Windows 11 once it’s out, and if you opt out, you’ll be stuck with unfinished software. Insider builds also expire quickly, so you won’t be able to use the existing version forever.
So what to do if you want to install cleanly, or it’s been more than ten days already? What is needed is the Media Creation Tool to perform a clean install.
To return to Windows 10 with a clean install, the first thing you need is to backup all data, or any files you want to save. Because this process will later erase everything on the hard drive, so backing up is very important. It also takes a USB Flash Drive that serves as an installation medium. The data on the USB will also be deleted.
- Download the Media Creation Tool via the following page
- Run the tool and plug in the USB that will be used
- Accept the license terms and then select Create Installation Media
- Choose the appropriate setting
- After that is the page to create a USB Flash Drive, and click Next then select the USB to use
- Click the Next button again which will start the download process and make the USB the Windows 10 master
Now you have Windows 10 installation media ready via USB. You must make the USB as a device to boot and do a clean install.
- Go to the Settings → System → Recovery page
- Click Advanced Startup and click Restart
- Your computer will enter the boot options page. Select Use a Device and then select the USB Flash Drive earlier.
- After that, you will be directed to the Windows 10 installation menu, and do the installation process proses
After the installation process is complete, you will get an initial version of Windows 10, like a new computer.
How to Check Intel HD Driver Version on Windows 10
Intel always provides updates to its IntelHD Graphics driver, the last version Intel released when this article was written was version 18.104.22.16864, but how do we check the version of the driver that is already installed in Windows 10 that we have, especially in Dxdiag, usually only displays versions that are not the same as those presented by Intel?
Now about this, the answer is actually simple, friends, first for you Intel Graphics users, make sure you have downloaded and installed Intel Command Center on your Windows 10, if it is already there, please open it.
Now then, please click on the Support > System Diagnostic section and there should already appear the version of the driver installed on your device.
Exactly as in the image above, there it appears that my device is currently using version 22.214.171.12468, which can now be updated to version 126.96.36.19964 according to the information from the following Intel page.
Well it’s pretty easy, isn’t it? Please try.
How to change the user password in Windows 10? – Configure your PC
Security is an aspect that users who use personal computers should not ignore even more when they share their PC. And in this sense, the Windows 10 operating system allows you to use a password to start your session. But if you feel that it is very vulnerable, we will teach you how to change the user password in Windows 10.
Windows 10 is an operating system that has shown us that security and privacy are essential. And therefore, we can see that it offers us some security tips when logging in. This is to prevent you from being the victim of an evil person who tries to enter your PC and steal sensitive information.
We must remind you that using a secure password will prevent you from having future problems with unwanted access to your account. But if you don’t feel safe with your current password, then you need to change it. Remember that in addition to the password, Windows 10 also allows you to change the name of your user effortlessly.
Why do I need to change my Windows password?
The periodic change of your password to log in to your Windows 10 is necessary for different factors. And the first of them has to do with security. This password must be secure and not contain personal data that makes it vulnerable. In this way, you will make it more difficult for malicious people to access your account.
In case of forgetting it
Another essential aspect that usually happens even to the most careful person is that they forget or lose their password for some reason. And in these cases, Windows 10 offers you the possibility to change your user’s password. But in these cases, it will be necessary for you to use access to your Microsoft account as another security measure.
They were alerted that they tried to enter the PC
Another aspect where it can be helpful for you to know how to change your password when starting Windows is for reasons of protecting your security. Windows 10 will ask you to change the current password to register the attempt to enter your account. As you can see, you must learn how to perform this simple operation, and here we will tell you how to do it.
What is the way to edit a user’s password in Microsoft Windows?
From the Windows control panel
You can do it from the control panel to edit your user’s current password in Windows 10. It is also possible to access it using the Windows 10 keyboard shortcuts, and for this, you must press the Windows + I keys. And from there, you look for and select the option ‘Settings’; this action will take you to its window.
Now in the configuration window, you will be able to appreciate the different sections it contains. In your case, you will click on ‘Accounts.’ This action will show you a window with a left panel that includes various options. The next step is to click on ‘ Login options,’ and then in the right panel, you must select the ‘Password‘ option.
If this is the first time you use it, it will offer you an option to create a password; if not and you have already created one, you will find the option ‘Change.’ Clicking on this button will display the ‘Windows Security box. You will be asked for a PIN to verify your identity, although you can also be asked for your Microsoft password.
Once your identity is verified, the ‘Change password’ window will appear, and you will be asked to enter the current password. Then you enter the new password and then follow the instructions of the wizard. You can also observe that here, in this window, you will find an option that you will use to forget the password.
Entering the system command
From the system command, it is also possible to easily change the user password, and for this, we will access the command prompt with administrator permissions. Remember that you can access CMD even if it doesn’t start. Once you have the CMD window on your screen, you will enter the net user’ command.
Next, a list of users who log in to your PC will be shown; now, we will write down the user’s name whose password we will change. And we will execute the command as follows, we will write ‘ net user password.’ Or we perform the control’ net user user’, then press Enter, and then type the new password.
What do I do if Windows doesn’t recognize the new password?
Unfortunately, there may be some issues related to creating a new password to log in. And in these cases, the new password may not be recognized, so we can’t enter our account. This is something that can fill us with panic since there is no possibility that you have entered the password in the wrong way.
Before giving you some possible solutions, you must understand that some applications installed on your PC may in some way modify registries, and this may be the cause of the conflict that is occurring. But don’t worry, there are some solutions that you can apply to log in without problems.
Try putting the previous password
If you have already entered your current password several times and are still unable to enter your account, try entering the last password you used. It is possible that when making the password change, you did not save the changes, and therefore the new password was not saved. This can be a mistake that many users sometimes make inadvertently or inattentive.
Restart the computer
Another possible efficient and simple solution to log in by entering your password is to restart the PC. As we have already mentioned, there may be applications or programs that make changes to the registry. And this, of course, can be fixed by just restarting the computer.
How to Overcome Windows 10 Not Responding
Windows 10, almost all of the devices where I work are already using Windows 10, even though this OS is more modern and has become the standard of almost all work units in my office, this OS actually gets the most complaints, and one of them is “Not Responding” slow and annoying.
There are lots of articles that explain how to overcome Windows 10 Not Responding, starting from running Virus Scanning, Restarting the computer, deleting Temporary files, Delete the last Update and many others. It’s true, but in cases that often happen, don’t forget to check some of these things, (CPU Usage, RAM Usage and HDD Usage).
Usually, I use Task Manager to detect which part is the problem, whether it’s heavy CPU Usage, high RAM Usage, and overloaded HDD Usage, and here are the methods and how to fix it (my style of course).
CPU Usage Tinggi
If CPU Usage is in 100% status, the computer fan feels hot and spins fast, please open Task manager > click on the processes tab, please see what applications are consuming a lot of CPU usage.
If you have found it and it turns out that the process is a process that is part of your work (eg rendering and others) then you just have to wait until the work that consumes CPU usage is finished, but if it is the work of a malicious program (malware for example), you can End Task the application and delete it immediately from the Settings > App page.
Usually, in cases that I often encounter, the steps above have managed to solve the problem, but if after removing the application the problem still occurs, it’s a good idea to scan your Windows 10 with the antivirus you trust the most, for example, Kaspersky or BitDefender.
Is there a final solution if the problem still exists, of course, we use the fast way, Clean install your Windows 10 via the ISO file that you downloaded from Media Creations Tools.
If RAM Usage Is High
As with high CPU Usage, the higher RAM Usage, of course, it will have a big effect on performance, in Task manager > Tab processes, please see what applications are consuming a lot of RAM usage, whether it’s Google Chrome or other applications.
The best solution for this problem is if the problem still persists even when you feel that there is no malware installed on your Windows 10 and the usage that results in high RAM Usage is normal usage, you are certainly recommended to upgrade the RAM, for Windows 10, at least you should use 4 GB of RAM for daily office purposes.
My recommendation is to use at least 8 GB of RAM for long-term comfort.
HDD Usage Tinggi
Undeniably, the problem that usually occurs in Windows 10 is 100% Disk Usage, whether it’s because Windows Update is running, there is a virus scanning from Microsoft Defender, or there are other things that make the disk run very heavy.
The solution to this problem, please turn off unnecessary applications (from Startup Programs, Services and others), if possible, also turn off Microsoft Defender and Windows Update (though I don’t recommend it.
Another solution, please use a version of Windows 10 that is not heavy, for example, Windows 10 LTSB 2016 or LTSC 2019 which I myself feel is lighter than the Windows 10 Home and Pro versions (semi-annual channel).
The best solution to overcome 100% Disk Usage, of course, is an SSD Upgrade, use a minimal SSD for your Windows 10 system storage, it doesn’t need to be too big, as long as it’s enough for the OS and applications that you usually use every day.
Well, those are some of the causes of the Windows 10 Not Responding problem and how to fix it (my version), all of them from the list above are the most common problems, although there are other more complex problems such as a corrupt system, corrupt drivers, old windows updates. and failed, and many more but the three things above are the main points of the Windows 10 Not Responding problem.
The version above is my version, yes, and that’s based on my experience too, if you have another version, don’t hesitate to give your opinion and comments in the comments column below.
Thank you, hopefully useful.
